Vivai Mazzoni®, part of Mazzoni Group®, is one of the leading nurseries in Europe for fruit trees and strawberry plants.
It actively participates in and is part of the CIV (Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti) or Varietal Innovation Center, which supplies the best and most recent innovations in apple, pear, cherry and rootstock varieties grown in the nursery.
Pre-formed fruit trees
Our partner Mazzoni Group® is a European leader in the production of pre-formed apple, pear, and cherry trees, offering a wide range of varieties and rootstocks.
Their flagship product is Bibaum®, a plant developed with two well-balanced main axes that improves orchard management and increases productivity. This innovative training technique, applied directly in the nursery, is patented in Europe and the United States and has gained widespread international success.
Certain varieties, such as Abate Fetel, have been specifically adapted to this system, combining high-quality genetics with a more efficient and structured growth.
With Mazzoni, we bring professionals high-performing, uniform, and premium-quality plants.
Strawberry plants
It is also one of the main producers in Europe of strawberry plants, offering multiple plant finishing types and a wide range of varieties, grouped into the three standard genotypes based on behaviour and production: high-chilling (HC), low-chilling (LC), and everbearers (EB).
Across these plant types and genetics, they produce around thirty current varieties along with the latest innovations provided by the CIV (Varietal Innovation Center).
The advice we provide
When planning a new orchard, we provide guidance on the selection of varieties and rootstocks, planting layout, pollinators, and the design of different training systems.
For all clients who purchase plants from Vivai Mazzoni®, we offer follow-up support, including advice on planting and the initial training prunings, all the way through to the first productions.
